Today, we’re highlighting some notable movies that feature the art of letter writing in the plot.

Love in the Time of Cholera (2007)
Based on the novel of the same name by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the plot follows the story of Florentino Ariza and Fermina Daza, who fall in love as teenagers but are forced to part ways. The film stars Javier Bardem as Florentino and Giovanna Mezzogiorno as Fermina.
The Lake House (2006)
The plot centers around a mysterious love story between Kate and Alex, two people who live in the same house but two years apart. They start communicating through letters left in a mailbox and soon fall in love. The film stars Sandra Bullock as Kate and Keanu Reeves as Alex.
Letters to Juliet (2010)
The plot follows Sophie, a young woman on her honeymoon in Verona, Italy, who discovers a group of women who respond to letters left by lovelorn women addressed to Shakespeare's Juliet. Sophie decides to answer one of the letters and soon becomes involved in the lives of the letter's writer and the man she once loved. The film stars Amanda Seyfried as Sophie and Gael García Bernal as Victor.
Miss You Already (2015)
The plot follows the story of two friends, Milly and Jess, whose friendship is tested when Milly is diagnosed with breast cancer. They communicate through letters and phone calls, reflecting on their past and the future. The film stars Drew Barrymore as Milly and Toni Collette as Jess.
The Notebook (2004)
The plot revolves around an elderly man reading a story to a woman in a nursing home who is suffering from dementia. The story is about a young couple, Noah and Allie, who fall in love during the summer of 1940 but are forced to separate due to societal pressures. The film stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as the young couple and James Garner and Gena Rowlands as the older couple.
